Meet Mr. & Mrs. Tim Lawver...
Classy, fun, thoughtful, and full of surprises...just like a good book.
This literary themed love story was full of books, beautiful, soft blush-colored flowers, contrasting blacks, marbles, and golds and set among sculptures molded by Augustine Rodin. It was an exquisite event staged in a deeply romantic setting to the pining strings of quartet of violinists, however woven into the overall theme of the wedding was the comedic playfulness of the lovers and their loved ones. The groomsmen had fun playing with their coat-tails and the bride wrote in time for "frivolity" with her bridesmaids at the Kabuki Hotel.
Waiting for the opening scene of the ceremony to commence there was lots of laughter, smiling and joy. The father of the groom was beaming with pride. The mother of the bride in traditional Korean dress of lavender satin matched the "Porcelain Room" where the bridal party waited behind the scenes until the time finally came.
The ceremony was filled with heartfelt vows, confessions of love, resolutions to take on the world by storm and ended with tears of joy and a passionate dipping kiss.
The bridal party gathered for a toast and one more photo opportunity before the couple escaped for some romantic portraits in the moonlit courtyard.
After dinner, toasting and dances by the family, the couple slipped away once more. As the festivities continued, they changed into their own traditional Korean garb, and returned to the beat of "I'm too sexy!"
Shortly after, because of the nature of the refined setting, the couple engaged in "spin-the-bride/groom" to avoid tossing bouquets and garters in the museum. Though it was a "museum-safe" version of the traditions, one casualty still resulted; the brother of the bride found himself not unscathed as he became the reluctant recipient of the garter!
